We Breathe Life Into Data

At Komodo Health, our mission is to reduce the global burden of disease. And we believe that smarter use of data is essential to this mission. That’s why we built the Healthcare Map — the industry’s largest, most complete, precise view of the U.S. healthcare system — by combining de-identified, real-world patient data with innovative algorithms and decades of clinical experience. The Healthcare Map serves as our foundation for a powerful suite of software applications, helping us answer healthcare’s most complex questions for our partners. Across the healthcare ecosystem, we’re helping our clients unlock critical insights to track detailed patient behaviors and treatment patterns, identify gaps in care, address unmet patient needs, and reduce the global burden of disease.

As we pursue these goals, it remains essential to us that we stay grounded in our values: be awesome, seek growth, deliver “wow,” and enjoy the ride. At Komodo, you will be joining a team of ambitious, supportive Dragons with diverse backgrounds but a shared passion to deliver on our mission to reduce the burden of disease — and enjoy the journey along the way.

The Opportunity at Komodo Health:

TEAM: The MapEnhance team propels Komodo’s ability to provide the deepest and most complete view into the patient journey, enabling deeper insights to our industry-leading Healthcare Map by bringing in highly-curated data sources — including lab, genomics, oncology Electronic Medical Record (EMR) data, race and ethnicity, social determinants of health (SDoH), mortality, and more. We do this through driving forward strategic partnerships with specialty data partners, supporting the development of Komodo-built data objects, developing and executing on operational processes to support the end-to-end sales cycle for deals including these data, and partnering cross-functionally to grow the MapEnhance offering through new partnerships, sales enablement, marketing, product development, etc.

MISSION: This role is crucial in expanding the MapEnhance’s team capacity to adequately support current and upcoming company-wide growth goals. We will need to support core activities that drive our revenue-generating activities, including, but not limited to: propelling forward product/market strategy for our external partner offerings, supporting MapEnhance deals throughout the sales cycle and into implementation (especially in liaising with external partners on scoping, pricing etc.), managing the partner relationships, providing SME support to GTM, marketing, sales enablement, product, + many other teams across the enterprise, training other teams on partners/data sources, and collaborating cross functionally on implementing new operational processes or improving current ones.

Looking back on your first 12 months at Komodo Health, you will have accomplished…

  • Increased MapEnhance revenue through improving deal frequency and magnitude through the execution of operational processes and development of process improvements
  • Established trusted relationships with external partners through first rate support and communication
  • Navigated cross functional dependencies required to leverage data partnerships to close deals. This includes liaising with marketing, product, sales, customer success, engineering teams, etc. across the entire Komodo enterprise
  • Improved data literacy for various teams across Komodo involved in the sales cycle surrounding MapEnhance offerings, especially their ability to clearly define and communicate value propositions
  • Coordinated the integration of external partner data with Komodo’s core offerings through collaboration with technical teams to implement processes across product and engineering teams

You will accomplish these outcomes through the following responsibilities…

  • Owning and operating processes and workflows, particularly around deal support and the sales cycle, that support organizational outcomes
  • Acting as the main point of contact for partners, liaising between Komodo teams and partners on deal support, issue resolution, and overall business strategy
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with sales, product, marketing, GTM, engineering, and data on key initiatives that build the processes, products, and internal/external collateral critical for MapEnhance growth
  • Developing and implementing operating process improvements
  • Leveraging analytical skills to drive strategy and business insights by e.g., analyzing and assessing operations and financial performance, maintaining reporting to track progress across topline metrics
  • Collaborate with product and data on product roadmap, development of new features or enhancements
  • Supporting the development of comprehensive sales, marketing, or product strategies and tactics that will drive growth on deals involving MapEnhance partners

What you bring to Komodo Health (required):

  • 3+ years of experience in operations (deal support) / consulting or related experience, ideally in healthcare
  • Understanding of operations and sales support functions, with demonstrated ability to improve internal processes resulting in decreased time to close or increased win rates
  • Experience in client-facing/external roles
  • Experience in managing and driving multiple projects/workstreams with multiple technical and non-technical dependencies forward independently.
  • Process driven, extremely detail oriented and highly organized
  • Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders at various levels
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, able to break down complex, multifaceted issues into core drivers and solutions
  • Knowledge of operational tools (such as Jira, Asana, Salesforce, Confluence, Smartsheets)

Additional skills and experience we’ll prioritize…

  • Knowledge of the healthcare ecosystem and/or healthcare data
  • Service oriented i.e., not above rolling up sleeves to dive into a problem
  • Operations experience at a high-growth startup is a plus
