What You Will Do:

As a Senior Staff Mechanical Engineer in our New Product Research & Development team, you will shape the future and lead the design and development of life-changing devices that directly impact caregivers and patient outcomes. This is your opportunity to solve complex challenges, collaborate across disciplines, and make a lasting difference. 

You will need to live within commuting distance to our Portage, Michigan office and be in the office 5 days a week.

  • Lead design and development of mechanical systems and subsystems 
  • Translate user needs into design inputs and system-level outputs 
  • Guide prototyping, testing, and resolution of design issues 
  • Mentor engineers on engineering and design control practices 
  • Drive innovation through technical exploration and development 
  • Collaborate across functions to execute development activities 
  • Ensure compliance with standards and documentation requirements 
  • Contribute to technical and product strategy 

What You Will Need:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • 6+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Experience designing mechanical or electro-mechanical systems 
  • Proficiency in GD&T and CAE tools 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DFM principles 
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing 
  • Familiarity with regulated environments
