Job Description

Key Deliverables:

  •  Possesses a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.
  • Conducts market research including working in the field to understand target audience needs and issues and find innovative solutions for existing and new market segments.
  • Stay on top of current trends and develop roadmaps for the success of the product line
  • Is the champion for the product and must communicate and collaborate with all areas of the company
  • He or she will work with Product and business owners to define product requirements.
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customers.
  • Serve as the internal and external subject matter expert for product offerings, working with the sales channel and key clients.
  • Responsible for the financial sustainability of the product.
  • Responsible for product innovation
  • Managing the product portfolio life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Translates product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including epics, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
  • Constant interaction with the customer through end-user interviews and surveys, brainstorming, trade studies, market research.
  • Continuously assess, monitor and enhance product strategy based on customer feedback and market developments.
  • Prepare, maintain, and evangelize the product roadmap which defines product enhancements for short- and long-term releases. Define feature roadmaps for products based on business opportunities and market research, including product modernisation and scalability.
  • Work with sales management and other contributors to evaluate and prioritize opportunities by using the business value formula.
  • Define Product Budget:
  • Provide financial modelling capabilities.
  • Evaluate business case viability for new product development and new projects.
  • Assist Sales with product pricing to ensure profitability.
  • Define and track product success metrics and provide regular feedback to the team.
  • Become Subject Matter Experts in product’s markets and provide vision and leadership to technology R&D efforts!
  • Collaborate with the Product Team to align all product strategies, including providing input, assisting with organisational buy-in and moving the company strategy forward.
  • Develop cross competencies in the company’s entire product set.
  • Help develop and deploy key market messages and communication strategies for the product line with Marketing Support team. (Including demonstrations, and Improvement Reports.)
  • Collaborate with technology to create strategies for which technology will be developed or adapted to meet market needs and leverage opportunities. (e.g., Buy/Build decisions)
  • Work with the project management team to prioritise organisational projects and align product development with the overall project plans.
  • Validate requirements and designs with all stakeholders, facilitate and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and other related activities where required.
  • Works in an Agile environment and continuously reviews the business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and ensures a constant stream of work for the agile teams.
  • Works with stakeholders to develops appropriate tracking of product performance post-launch to evaluate investment.
  • Act as liaison between Sales, Customer Experience, Marketing Support, and Technology teams to support product positioning and customer demand as part of new product development.
  • Work with Training team to provide direction and content to develop product training material internally and externally.
  • Consult with customer experience team to ensure appropriate service levels for the product line.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Business degree with a focus on product management, strategy and/or technology
  • MBA (Advantageous)
  • Clinical/healthcare qualification (beneficial)

Professional Qualifications

  • NA

Years of Experience

  • 8+ years business experience
  • Healthcare industry experience and understanding
  • Strategy design and execution experience
  • Technology experience and understanding
