Senior Specialist, Product Development (Network Products & Platform Strategy)
Overview:
As a Senior Specialist for Product Development (Network Products & Platform Strategy), you will part of a strategic team involved in driving innovative next-generation products on the Mastercard core payments network. Today, the Mastercard Network delivers value to the ecosystem by enabling payments anywhere, anytime in a safe, smart and simple experience. This role focuses on enhancing and modernizing the network via a suite of next-gen network products.
A core responsibility will be facilitating the strategy planning to drive switching growth and adoption for the next-generation network products. This includes defining product / growth strategies, anchored in customer and market needs, aligning with senior leadership and translating that strategy into roadmaps, dependency management, and addressing operational, technical and commercial considerations required for rollout across the Asia Pacific region. The role requires a talent with good balance of strategic thinking, data analysis, and execution discipline.
Success requires close cross functional collaboration with market teams, product delivery, technology, finance, pricing teams - as well as customer outreach, to validate growth opportunities, drive execution, and track progress.
Candidates must be comfortable contributing to products through the various lifecycle stages, ranging from pitching concepts to pilot customers, overseeing market wide implementation, to managing product enhancements or commercials repricing.
The Role:• Identify and drive execution on switching and network growth opportunities in the AP region - including articulation of strategy, data analysis to size problems / opportunities, generating alignment, and driving measurable impact • Validate market / customer needs through structured market engagements / customer socializations and perform data • Lead pricing for existing and new network products, and influence core pricing decisions across the region• Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for next-generation of network products, including target markets or customer identification, growing adoption, customer communications, and economic or pricing considerations.• Act as a primary point of contact across regions, markets, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on execution plans and success metrics• Develop clear narratives and visuals to communicate strategy, analysis, and recommendations to senior leadership and key decision-makers
All about You:• Data-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Confident and concise presenter, with strong skills in data visualization, clear / compelling presentation, and coherent storytelling / pitching• Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact with varying levels of leadership and collaborate cross-functionally• Good project management, organization, and task management skills • Self-starter, versatile, and quick learner with the ability to work independently and thrive in fast-paced environments• Prior experience in payments is preferred, along with willingness to dive deep and learn about Mastercard's core network
