The Sr Spec Fund Reporting, under supervision, serves as a senior team contact representing Empower for fund reporting responsibilities on the recordkeeping system. Responsible for delivery fund reporting data. Responsible for daily communications with internal and external parties in relation to fund reporting details; completing assigned projects; and participating in conference calls; and maintaining procedures and quality with regards to fund reporting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with ensuring all available fund data is received and in the recordkeeping system for the production of performance, fee disclosure, fund fact sheets and web communication in the required time.
- Requires identification, general analysis and responsiveness to all fund data gaps.
- May handle requests for customization.
- Work with outside Investment Reporting vendors and internal system to ensure all investment data is populating as it should.
- Effectively use available resources to implement solutions to a variety of moderately complex issues. All done within the guidelines of FINRA, SEC, and DOL.
- Correspond directly via SR requests, email or phone requests with multiple internal and external clients to solve moderately difficult/technical requests, within strict time frames.
- Obtains information from various internal and external sources communicating via file feeds, e-mail and phone for any of the company's lines of business and products.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's Degree in a business-related field or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Four or more years of relevant experience in fund reporting, asset management operations, or financial services.
- Good customer contact skills, along with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proven MS Excel, Office skills.
- Experience in the internal record keeping system highly desirable.
- Knowledge of SQL or WEBI for the purpose of researching and validating data.
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics.
- Good technical skills and attention to detail needed.
- Good understanding of investment options (mutual funds, collective trusts, etc.)
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve effectively.
- Visual Basic or InDesign Experience a plus.
