This position is part of the China IT located in Shanghai and will be working in an on-site model. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery. What you will do: • Collaborate with Business Enablement to determine when local capabilities are necessary versus when global or enterprise teams should lead delivery. Scale China-specific demand efficiently without duplicating global platforms, ensuring all solutions are aligned with enterprise direction and maximize reuse. • Translate business needs into technical solutions tailored for the China market, ensuring seamless integration with global platforms and AI architectures. • Oversee the entire solution lifecycle with a China focus—architecture blueprints, technical documentation, and delivery—while collaborating with cross IT teams to drive business-fit solutions at speed. • Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions that adhere to enterprise architecture standards, align with global strategies, and integrate with both China-specific and global platforms, systems, and data environments. • Ensure local AI solutions remain interoperable with global architectures, delivering business-fit outcomes with a focus on responsible AI use. • Actively participate in global design reviews, contributing China-specific requirements to global platform roadmaps. Ensure that local AI and technology solutions remain globally interoperable, compliant, and supportable, with clear architectural accountability. • Oversee vendor-delivered solutions for China, providing ongoing architectural governance over configuration changes, enhancements, and integrations. Ensure all third-party solutions meet enterprise standards, maintain compliance, and support the long-term strategic direction of both China and global platforms. Who you are: • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, with 5–7 years of hands-on experience delivering digital solutions in China, preferably within complex or multi-national enterprise environments. • Strong experience designing and delivering China local technology (like WeChat / WeCom–based solutions, Ali cloud)including integration with enterprise systems, customer- or employee-facing digital use cases, and alignment with China-specific platform ecosystems. • Proven background in China digital transformation initiatives, with the ability to translate local business needs into scalable, compliant technical solutions while aligning with global platforms and enterprise standards. • Solid understanding of China IT landscape and implementation context, including local vendors, platforms, data regulations, and integration patterns required to operate effectively in China while remaining globally interoperable. • Strong knowledge of cloud architectures, packaged SaaS implementation, system integration, and modern design approaches such as RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures. • Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin, with the ability to work effectively across local China teams and global stakeholders.It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: • AI / ML solution design or delivery, including exposure to global AI platforms (e.g., Azure AI, Azure OpenAI) and/or China-compliant LLMs (e.g., Baidu, Alibaba Qwen, Tencent). • Evaluating AI use cases and contributing to solution architecture in areas such as data readiness, governance, responsible AI, or AI-enabled business capabilities.
