The Role (Your Why)

As Senior Solution Architect, you will work collaboratively with sales, account management, technical domains and customers to understand business requirements, and architect cost effective technology-based solutions that address those requirements. You’ll be tasked with architecting and designing how a particular business objective will be achieved, or problem will be solved for a sales opportunities and/or customer request.

You will identify and recommend specific technologies and process improvements to implement. You will provide direction and guidance to the account management, bid, and operations teams, while also being responsible for defining the overall technical solution and tactical strategy. You will have broad experience in many technical disciplines and domains as well as a solid understanding of business and service management principles.

What You’ll Do:

As Senior Solution Architect, your responsibilities will include:

• Working across multiple technical domains and internal lines of business to develop end to end solutions and architectures.
• Providing pre-sales support and expertise to the sales teams in areas of expertise.
• Developing client relationships and translate business/ technical requirements into technical solutions.
• Participating as a subject matter expert in bid or tender engagements.
• Developing Request for Solution responses and Statement of Works, including costings for high-level solutions using infrastructure, storage, network, public or hybrid cloud services.
• Developing, facilitating and engaging in additional business growth opportunities for Datacom.
• Engaging with internal operational teams to maintain a thorough understanding of managed services and related contractual obligations.
• Undertaking Project Delivery encompassing high level solution architecture, detailed design and quality assurance.
• Overseeing Project Delivery encompassing advice on development, design and implementation.
• Continuous updating of knowledge and mentoring to ensure that skills of our Architect practice and team stay relevant in the ever changing face of information technology and Federal Government ICT and Cybersecurity requirements.
• Provide technical thought leadership, both internally and externally, to key stakeholders, contributing to the development of reference architectures, blueprints and product offerings.

What You’ll Bring:

To be successful in the role, you must have, you will have a minimum of 10 years’ IT experience within a consulting IT environment, with exceptional hands-on experience in the delivery of sizeable infrastructure, cloud, IT outsourcing, storage, backup, network and/ or cloud adoption/ migration projects. You will bring a successful track record in solution architecture and technical sales, with outstanding business knowledge in areas such as corporate structure, ROI, TCO, budget, and planning strategy. You will be self-driven, possess excellent customer liaison skills and a passion for technology.
