TITLE: Senior Software Engineer
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
To Act as a Reinsurance Team –Engineering Lead in one or more following ways:

Lead the Reinsurance team, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient handling of support activities, including L1/L2 escalations.
-
Serve as a subject matter expert for reinsurance processes, offering functional and technical insights to streamline operations.
-
Oversee the implementation of disaster recovery strategies for both legacy and New Duck Creek Reinsurance Systems (DCR - PrimaXL), ensuring business continuity.
-
Drive the migration of data and reports, particularly for DCR-Clarity integrations, leveraging Snowflake, Oracle PL/SQL, and other relevant technologies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect datamarts and solutions tailored for business users.
-
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging team members to adopt best practices in database architecture and DevOps (Git, CI/CD).
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Education and Work Experience:
▶ Bachelor’s degree, or higher education level, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Information Sciences, and/or related field
▶ Total Work Experience: 12+ years (software development), 8 years minimum
▶ Leadership Experience: 3 years minimum, 5 years preferred
▶ Product Experience: 6 years minimum; 8 years preferred
▶ Domain Experience: 6 years minimum; 8 years preferred
Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
▶ Expert in Object-oriented design, Java or .NET development, Relational OLTP queries and Relational database design
▶ Expert in one of the Duck Creek products business domains (Policy or Billing or Claims or Reinsurance)
▶ Excels in the ability to manage deadlines, communicate in a team, and operate independently with guidance
▶ Expert in how to estimate and analyze the Software Product Development or Support Lifecycle with Agile methodology

▶ Travel: 0-10%
▶ Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the country of the job location.
