Job Description:
Own the technical design and delivery of complex Bluetooth stack features, from interpreting specifications and evaluating design options through implementation, validation and customer issue resolution. Make design tradeoffs across software, radio performance, power and product requirements, and guide other engineers on difficult technical decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the agile team and adjacent engineering teams to deliver Bluetooth low energy stack features from specification through testing and release.
- Performing feature and feasibility analyses, designing software and APIs
- Implementing features in embedded C using high-class design practices and coding conventions.
- Using AI development tools where helpful for exploring solutions, writing tests, reviewing code and preparing documentation, while checking their output carefully.
- Reviewing designs and code, documenting technical decisions and helping other engineers solve difficult problems.
- Developing automated tests and measuring software performance.
- Working with build scripts, continuous integration, developer tools, technical documentation and SDK software.
- Providing input to wireless specifications and, where relevant, participating in Bluetooth SIG working groups.
- Debugging technically demanding issues and helping customers succeed with our products.
- Providing ideas and innovations for making our products and working methods even more competitive and extraordinary
Skills/Experience/Characteristics:
- Minimum 5 years of SW design and engineering experience as a SW Engineer (excluding education)
- Experience with embedded wireless, networking software, system software, driver development or similar.
- Additional design experience with at least some of the following: SW platforms, SW architecture, APIs, embedded systems, wireless, internet protocols, local connectivity technologies(Zigbee, Thread, Wi-Fi), development tools, and microcontrollers(Cortex-M, Risc-V)
- Positive attitude towards strong innovation, achievement, continuous technical learning, process-orientation, and quality assurance
- Work experience in agile teams according to the respective methodologies is a plus
- Fluent written and spoken English
Education requirements:
Preferably a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
