Job Description
Just imagine making manufacturing smarter, faster and more reliable through digital platforms that connect physical operations with scalable technology. Then make it real.
About the role
As our Senior Engineer – Manufacturing Digital Platform, you'll build, operate and improve two strategically important products for LEGO® manufacturing, engineering and logistics. You'll initially focus on a next-generation label-printing platform before contributing to an edge-computing platform for containerised workloads. You'll connect engineering with stakeholders, guide platform adoption and strengthen development, security and scalability across the LEGO Group.
Required Qualifications
- Built production software using a strong programming background, ideally with TypeScript
- Delivered continuous integration and deployment workflows using GitHub and cloud platforms such as AWS
- Operated containerised services using Docker and Kubernetes, with responsibility for building and running what you create
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated sustained contribution and growth within previous organisations rather than a pattern of only short-term appointments
What you'll build
- Develop and operate a reliable platform that supports label printing across manufacturing
- Improve stability, resilience and scalability as more teams adopt the platform
- Create simple, secure ways for digital products to integrate with shared platform capabilities
- Help expand new use cases for label printing and edge-computing workloads
- Promote strong engineering practices across development, operations and security
If you've worked in a role where you owned production services and helped others adopt shared technology, you'll feel at home here. What matters most is bringing practical ideas, contributing consistently and taking ownership when an opportunity needs someone to move it forward.
Life on the team
You'll join Manufacturing Digital Platform within Platform Technology and Manufacturing and Supply Chain Technology. The team is distributed between Copenhagen, Billund and a nearshore setup, with separate squads focused on each product. We value our office days and coordinate them whenever possible. Each squad uses regular planning, reviews, retrospectives and daily check-ins. You'll be a clear communicator in professional English, a collaborative colleague and a positive influence who stays curious, responds constructively to change and keeps learning.
What success looks like
Within your first year, you'll be contributing solid engineering work, sharing useful perspectives and occasionally leading tasks. You'll help establish the label-printing platform as the shared solution across the LEGO Group, supported by a stable and resilient digital foundation. You'll work closely with other digital product teams, manufacturing teams, the global service desk and factory support teams.
