Job Description

Senior Engineer, LEGO® Manufacturing Digital Platform

Just imagine thousands of factory devices receiving software updates, running workloads, and staying secure with minimal effort. Then make it real.

About the role

As our Senior Engineer, you'll help transform how manufacturing and logistics teams use technology across the LEGO Group. You'll join a platform team that enables teams throughout the business to run applications on small industrial IoT devices by combining software, infrastructure, cloud services, and hardware. You'll contribute to the backend and provisioning systems behind the platform, support the operating system running on devices, improve the infrastructure that powers it all, and make it simple for teams to deploy containerised workloads at scale.

Required Qualifications
  • Built production software using TypeScript or a comparable modern programming language

  • Operated Linux or Unix environments supporting applications and connected devices

  • Delivered continuous integration and continuous delivery solutions in production environments

  • Managed containerised workloads using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

  • Worked with cloud platforms, including AWS and related services

  • Applied DevOps practices in environments where engineering teams own and operate their solutions

Preferred Qualifications
  • Contributed to a platform engineering team serving multiple development teams

  • Applied networking concepts in distributed environments

  • Used AWS IoT Core or AWS Greengrass to support connected-device solutions

  • Developed user interfaces with React or implemented infrastructure as code practices

What you'll build
  • A technical platform that enables teams to run applications on industrial IoT devices with ease

  • Backend services and provisioning capabilities that support large fleets of devices

  • Infrastructure that helps teams deploy, operate, and scale containerised workloads

  • Engineering practices that strengthen security, reliability, and scalability

  • Strong partnerships with stakeholders to drive platform adoption and continuous improvement

If you've worked in a role where software, infrastructure, and hardware came together to solve real operational challenges, you'll feel at home here. What matters most is your ability to turn technical complexity into simple, reliable solutions.

Life on the team

The Platform Technology department provides solutions and technology for engineering, manufacturing, and logistics across the LEGO Group. You'll be part of a team that helps others innovate more quickly on the factory floor. We value collaboration, curiosity, continuous learning, and people who take ownership while bringing others with them. You'll work alongside engineers and stakeholders who enjoy improving how things work and sharing what they learn.

What success looks like

You'll become a trusted contributor to a platform that connects the digital and physical worlds of manufacturing. Success means helping teams adopt the platform confidently, improving the experience of operating device fleets at scale, and shaping the next evolution of industrial IoT capabilities across the business.
