Senior Software Engineer

This hybrid position requires candidates to be based in Pune with 3-4 days of in-office collaboration per week.

The Mission: What You'll Be Building

You will be a core contributor in the design, development, and implementation of new models and procedures. You will provide technical guidance, mentor junior team members, and leverage in-depth professional knowledge to develop solutions in cloud-native architectures, microservices, and Agile product development. You will be instrumental in building the next generation of our platform, which features core pillars like:

• Adaptive Applications: The intelligent backbone powering the manufacturing enterprise.

• Champion AI: Agentic AI for manufacturing that drives measurable productivity and growth.

Your Impact/ What you will be doing: 

• Independent Design & Implementation: Independently design, implement, and lead the development and testing of scalable web application features. Take end-to-end ownership of critical components across modern frontend frameworks and robust backend services.

• Complex Problem Resolution: Provide solutions to complex issues in creative and effective ways. Proactively debug, diagnose, and resolve a wide range of complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks across the stack with limited guidance. Understand the interrelationships of different disciplines and apply this knowledge to system design.

• Technical Guidance & Mentorship: Serve as a subject matter expert to mentor junior engineers, lead complex cross-team code reviews, and help set quality and performance standards. Adapt style to differing audiences and often advise others on difficult matters.

• Code for Scale & Efficiency: Optimize existing code and system architecture for performance, scalability, and maintainability, translating complex product and technical requirements into clean, efficient, and working code.

• Strategic Collaboration: Engage in cross-functional collaboration with Product, QA, and DevOps to deliver world-class enterprise SaaS products used by global customers. Enhance relationships and networks with senior internal/external partners.

• Tactical Accountability: Determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Work is done independently and is reviewed at critical points.

• Degree: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related professional software development experience. 

• Location: This is an on-site opportunity based in Pune with 3-4 days work from the office. Only candidates willing to be based in Pune will be eligible.

• Mastery in Data Structures & Algorithms: A strong foundation, including a clear understanding of time and space complexity.

• OOP Fundamentals: A solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming concepts is essential.

• Web Basics: Foundational knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and backend programming (Java, JavaScript/Node.js, or Python).

• Architectural Awareness: Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and end-to-end application communication, as well as an awareness of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling.

• Version Control: Proficiency with Git.

• AI-Assisted Development: Working knowledge of coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.

• DevOps Practices: Familiarity with DevOps workflows, release management, and continuous improvement principles.

• Cloud Platforms: Understanding of core AWS services across compute, storage, and networking for SaaS deployments.

• Cloud & Infrastructure Management: Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.

• Containers & Orchestration: Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerized microservices.

• Monitoring & Observability: Exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry for metrics and distributed tracing.

• CI/CD: Understanding of CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
