Minimum Qualifications
Academic Qualification: Bachelor's degree or higher in an analytical subject (e.g. Computer Science, Electronic/Software Engineering).
Core Software Development Experience: 7+ years of professional experience in software development using Java, Python, or C++. The role itself will mostly entail developing microservices in Java.
System Architecture & Design Leadership: Documented experience leading the high-level system design and architecture of distributed, multi-service ecosystems, including defining cross-team API standards.
DevOps & CI/CD Strategy: Proven experience designing, configuring, or optimizing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), or infrastructure-as-code strategies for highly available systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Java & Spring Architecture: Deep technical expertise in advanced Java concepts, Spring Boot ecosystem optimizations, and microservices patterns (e.g., event sourcing, CQRS, WebSockets).
Advanced Testing & Quality Assurance: Hands-on experience establishing automated testing strategies across teams, including contract testing, performance/load testing, and chaos engineering.
Engineering Mentorship: Demonstrated experience peer-reviewing complex code architectures, onboarding new team members, and formally or informally mentoring mid-level and junior engineers.
AI-First Engineering Leadership: Practical experience establishing team-wide best practices for using LLM-based engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) for scaffolding, safe refactoring, and test generation.
Strategic Trade-offs: Ability to clearly communicate and evaluate complex technical trade-offs, manage technical debt, and align engineering decisions with broader business product goals.
