Senior Software Engineer – Online Reputation Management

How You’ll Grow
Qualtrics is a fast paced, dynamic environment where you will have the opportunity to build on and expand your experience through working on high impact projects, utilising cutting edge tools and technologies, troubleshooting challenging problems and working alongside like minded and driven technical professionals.
 
Things You’ll Do
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of new features and major architectural improvements for the review management platform.
  • Drive complex projects from conception to launch, ensuring high quality, performance, and scalability.
  • Be the technical authority for the ORM product area, making critical decisions on system architecture and best practices.
  • Identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks to achieve the 5x scale goal.
  • Continually modernize the existing architecture to improve maintainability, resilience, and efficiency.
  • Work with technologies like Kotlin, Spring Boot, TypeScript, Kafka, k8s, S3, DynamoDB, and Aurora Postgres to build highly available and distributed systems, and with React to build modern Front End. We do not require you to know these technologies. We hire smart people who can learn new technologies fast.
  • Coach and mentor other development engineers, helping them grow technically and professionally.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers and UX designers to define clear technical requirements and roadmaps.
  • Work effectively with senior engineers across Qualtrics to align on technical strategy and shared infrastructure.
What We’re Looking For On Your CV
  • 5+ years of relevant experience    
  • Strong level of curiosity and interest to learn      
  • Strong algorithms, data structures and coding background    
  • Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance    
  • Experience with distributed systems  
  • Experience with professional software engineering practices (e.g. unit testing, code reviews, design documents)

The Online Reputation Management (ORM) team at Qualtrics builds and maintains a cutting-edge Review Management Platform that processes hundreds of millions of reviews annually. Our platform is critical for helping organizations monitor and respond to customer feedback across numerous online channels.
We are entering a phase of rapid expansion with the ambitious goal of scaling the platform by five-fold within the next few years. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a mix of product-focused development and significant architectural challenges. As a Senior Developer, you will be one of a key technical leaders, driving both the execution of high-impact projects and the professional growth of your team members.
