The Senior Software Engineer contributes towards the design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of Cytric Expense, Amadeus' product for managing travel expenses.

As a Senior Engineer in the Expense team, you will participate in all team activities, becoming one of the leading contributors to the team:

• Understanding business and technical requirements.

• Participating in design activities.

• Participating in planning the team's work.

• Developing software in Java following best practices, and advocating for quality code.

• Writing unit tests and automated functional tests.

• Integrating with other components, databases, and infrastructure.

• Championing and performing code reviews.

• Participating in CI/CD activities, and contributing to cloud migration efforts.

• Analysing customer issues.

• Mentoring and supporting others, helping raise the bar.

• Communicating with other teams within the Expense Management Agile Release Train (ART).

To achieve this, you will need:

• Experience writing production code in Java and Spring Boot

• Deep understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).

• Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery best practices.

• Some experience with relational databases such as Oracle.

• Experience working in an Agile setup (working in a self-managed team).

• Pro-activity and a growth mindset (excellent communication skills, ability to own and learn from mistakes, and self-improve).

• Fluent English (we work in a multinational setup).

• Experience with OpenShift and Azure would be considered an advantage.
