SenioSoftware engineers at Flexera play a pivotal role in crafting and delivering our products and services to the market. They work closely with product managers to ensure alignment with customer needs, architect software systems, write and rigorously test code, and orchestrate deployments to ensure seamless rollouts. Beyond the initial release, our software engineers continue to support the product by leveraging observability data and collaborating with our support team to ensure ongoing success and customer satisfaction.
As a Senior Software Engineer on our SaaS Platform Services Team, you will be a key player in designing, developing, and maintaining critical components of our platform. This role requires expertise in Golang and collaborate closely with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration with other components of our system. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of providing technical leadership and implementing SaaS platform technologies.
What you'll do:
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership to the development team, helping them make informed decisions and grow their skills.
- Hands-On Development: Actively participate in coding, debugging, and troubleshooting to contribute to the development effort while maintaining a focus on architectural excellence.
- Code Review: Review code to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks and scalability issues in the product.
- Azure Expertise: Leverage your knowledge of Azure services to design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for architectural designs, coding guidelines, and best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of various components and technologies.
You'll be expected to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in software development, with a strong focus on Golang.
- Experience in event-driven microservices and microservices observability (tracing, metrics collection, monitoring tools)
- Experience working with MongoDB.
- Expertise in Azure services and cloud-native development.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience on DevOps practices is a plus
- Experience with frontend technologies like ReactJS is a plus.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
