Position Overview:As a Senior Software Engineer at Rectangle Health, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture, development, and innovation behind our engineering projects. Your leadership will extend beyond technical expertise, as you mentor and guide developers, fostering a culture of best practices and continuous improvement across the engineering team.

- Architect and Innovate: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, robust, and innovative solutions that align with business goals and drive product growth.
- Mentor and Develop: Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to team members, empowering them to excel and grow in their roles.
- Debug and Optimize: Tackle complex technical challenges, identifying and resolving issues that impact system performance or functionality.
- Drive Excellence: Establish and promote best practices across the engineering department, ensuring quality, efficiency, and scalability in all aspects of development.
- Research and Adapt: Stay at the forefront of technological trends, bringing forward new tools and techniques to enhance our products and processes
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of software engineering experience
- Experience building web applications using PHP/Symfony.
- Experience with any of these technologies - Docker, Kubernetes.
- JavaScript experience, preferred library/frameworks: React, Next.js
- AWS experience is a MUST
- Designing and leading an EPIC
- Experience integrating with 3rd party API’s
- Experience building REST API’s in a microservice environment
- Proficient in version control systems such as Git
- Database experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server via ORMs, doctrine preferred.
- Proven experience working in Agile environments, leveraging methodologies like Scrum or Kanban to deliver high-quality software
- Payment processing experience is a plus
Preferred Qualification(s):
- Experience working in payment industry
