Leidos Corporate Group has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Sr. Software Analyst, supporting IT Asset Management. ITAM focuses on asset lifecycle management, performs system catalogue and model management, and ensures regulatory and policy compliance. The goal of ITAM is to minimize risk and maximize HW, SW and Cloud investments. The Sr SW Analyst is critical to the success of ITAM and will serve as the point of contact for software assets within the organization, ensuring adherence to software licensing terms and conditions, compliance policies and regulations. In this role, you will work closely with various departments to monitor, track, and manage software licenses across the organization. You will play a vital role in maintaining compliance, mitigating risks, and optimizing software usage, while also contributing to cost-saving initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Help define controls, processes, and procedures for software asset management to ensure software and services are effectively and efficiently managed throughout the enterprise.
- Monitor software usage and licenses across the organization to ensure compliance with licensing agreements, terms and conditions, and relevant regulations.
- Identify and assess risks and issues related to software licensing non-compliance; develop strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collect, analyze, and report on software license consumption information for forecasting, budgeting, compliance, and cost optimization.
- Plan, conduct, and oversee regular software license audits to verify compliance and identify potential licensing gaps or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with system lifecycle managers and budget owners to proactively understand current software licensing needs and assist in planning for future requirements.
- Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with various departments to evaluate, assess and optimize enterprise software license requirements and deployments.
- Analyze software usage to determine potential efficiencies and cost saving opportunities.
- Participate in the fulfillment of licensing requests through the CIO Central catalogue and provisioning through software portals.
- Establish and maintain a process to track software end of support and end of life – work with system lifecycle managers to plan these events.
- Assist in establishing a process to assess software for the organization - fit-for-use and fit-for- software rationalization analysis.
- Collaborate with various department to establish controls around software installation and assist in developing processes for the organization to adhere by.
- Focus on cost saving efforts, including licensing remediation efforts, license harvesting, and reducing duplicate software in the organization.
- Work with CIO Services teams to enhance software asset management tools and systems to improve license tracking, monitoring, and value-realization efforts.
- Assist in driving continuous improvement by identifying processes gap, and areas to gain efficiencies through system automation
- Participate in and technical understanding of the software development lifecycle, including user testing
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of related experience. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
- Knowledgeable in ServiceNow, SharePoint, and Costpoint.
- Technical knowledge and experience with ServiceNow catalogue development.
- Technical knowledge and experience with ServiceNow SAMPro module.
- Technical understanding software usage rights, and contractual terms and conditions.
- Skilled in building queries, reports, and dashboards in ServiceNow, and interpreting such data to inform business decisions.
- Knowledge of IT asset management best practices, including license remediation, reconciliation, and harvesting.
- Proficient with process development and improvement, including writing requirements, performing UAT and maintaining systems controls or business rules.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge on the technical aspects of IT contract models, including hosting, subscription, SaaS, concurrent licensing, and enterprise agreements, etc.
- Possess a technical understanding of the relationship between contracts, IT assets and a configuration management database.
- US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow SAMPro certification.
- Experience developing, managing, and implementing goals, plans, and technical complex processes.
- Superior critical thinking and technical problem-solving skills.
- Technical experience in automated asset management systems.
- IAITAM Asset Management certification.
- Demonstrate a proven ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and focus on delivering high quality work.
- Strong organization, planning, and execution skills
- Advanced data analysis and reporting skills particularly in Excel, PowerBI, Tableau

Pay Range:Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
