Ready to make connectivity from space universally accessible, secure and actionable? Then you’ve come to the right place!
E-Space is bridging Earth and space to enable hyper-scaled deployments of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and services. We are building a highly-advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) space system that will fundamentally change the design, economics, manufacturing and service delivery associated with traditional satellite and terrestrial IoT systems.
We’re intentional, we’re unapologetically curious and we’re 100% committed to innovate space-based communications and deliver actionable intelligence that will expand global economies, protect space and our planet and enhance our overall quality of life.
We are seeking an experienced ARM SoC Architect to lead the design and development of ARM-based System on Chip (SoC) solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the architecture, working closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the SoC meets performance, power, and area targets. This role requires a deep understanding of ARM architecture, SoC design principles, and a proven track record in SoC architecture and design.
What you will do:
- Define and develop the architecture for ARM-based SoC solutions targeting applications in 5G, IoT
- Work closely with system architects, hardware, and software teams to define SoC requirements and specifications
- Lead the design and integration of various IP blocks, including CPUs, memory controllers, and peripheral interfaces
- Ensure the SoC architecture meets performance, power, and area targets
- Perform feasibility analysis, trade-off studies, and simulations to optimize the SoC architecture
- Collaborate with verification and validation teams to ensure the functionality and performance of the SoC design
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in ARM architecture and semiconductor design technologies
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers
What you bring to this role:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in SoC design with a focus on ARM architecture
- Strong understanding of ARM architecture and AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB)
- Experience with SoC design tools and methodologies
- Proven track record in designing and implementing complex SoC solutions
- Fluency in both HDL (Verilog/VHDL) and C/Python programming languages
- Familiarity with SystemC and SystemVerilog is an important advantage
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Bonus points for the following:
- Experience with low-power design techniques
- Knowledge of high-speed interface protocols (e.g., PCIe, USB, Ethernet)
- Familiarity with system-level design and simulation tools
- Experience with firmware and software development for ARM-based systems
- Understanding of security and encryption techniques for SoC designs
This is a full time, exempt position, based out of our Saratoga office. The target base pay for this position is $150,000 - $220,000 annually. The total compensation packaged will be determined by various factors such as your relevant job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
We are redefining how satellites are designed, manufactured and used—so we’re looking for candidates with passion, deep knowledge and direct experience on LEO satellite component development, design and in-orbit activities. If that’s your experience – then we’ll be immediately wow-ed.
