Job PurposeWe are seeking a Salesforce PWA Kit Developer to build and maintain headless e-commerce storefronts powered by Salesforce Commerce Cloud. You will develop scalable, high-performance Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) using modern React-based architecture while integrating with Commerce Cloud APIs.
You will work closely with UX/UI, backend engineers, and architects to deliver fast, SEO-optimized, mobile-first commerce experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain headless storefronts using PWA Kit and React.
- Integrate with Salesforce Commerce Cloud via SCAPI (Shopper APIs).
- Implement server-side rendering (SSR) and client-side hydration.
- Build reusable React components and scalable frontend architecture.
- Optimize performance, Core Web Vitals, and SEO for PWA storefronts.
- Implement state management and data fetching strategies.
- Integrate third-party services (payments, search, CMS, personalization).
- Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to architecture discussions.
- Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and CI/CD best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of frontend development experience.
- 1+ year experience with Salesforce PWA Kit.
- Strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Experience with Node.js in server-side rendering environments.
- Solid understanding of headless commerce architecture.
- Experience working with REST APIs (SCAPI).
- Familiarity with performance optimization and SEO in SSR applications.
- Experience with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of responsive design and mobile-first development.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Managed Runtime.
- Knowledge of Commerce Cloud data models.
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Exposure to micro-frontend architecture.
- Multi-site / multi-region commerce implementations.
- Experience integrating CMS platforms (Contentful, AEM, etc.).
