Sales Solution Architect – Retail Technology
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide subject matter expertise (SME) on the company’s hardware and software portfolio, supporting the Sales team in serving retail clients and prospects.
- Collaborate with the team to build and execute tactical and strategic consultative sales plans aimed at acquiring new clients.
- Respond to RFPs/RFIs, ROI, and TCO requests in a timely and professional manner to support business success.
- Develop, present, and demonstrate the solutions during group meetings with the Sales team.
- Emphasize product features such as vision, strategy, architecture, and design flexibility.
- Establish and maintain close working relationships with business partners across Latin America.
- Assist partners with technical support related to the setup and configuration of the company’s solutions.
- Technical sales support for the assigned accounts and customers in the Latin America region.
- Share responsibility with sellers for revenue, profit, and product objectives.
- Support the achievement of revenue targets (quota) as defined by the business.
- Offer consultation to the Product Development team based on customer requirements and suggestions for improvements and innovations.
- Provide technical feedback and consultation to the development team to facilitate issue resolution.
- Participate in "Voice of the Customer" initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and product quality.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Sales and technical knowledge:
- Experience working with Sales Teams, Customers, Partners, and third-party vendors.
- Ability to identify customer/prospect requirements and translate them into tailored solutions.
- Expertise in designing comprehensive solutions for customer initiatives involving both hardware and software.
- Knowledge of installation, systems integration, support services and maintenance.
- Experience installing and configuring demo environments using Windows and Linux. It is a plus if the candidate has knowledge in TCx Sky.
- Familiarity using drivers, SDKs, and technical tools for hardware demos.
- Proficiency in POS Hardware and Software, Self-Checkout systems, Promotions platforms, Loyalty programs, Payment solutions, Back office, Mobile shopping, eCommerce, and other retail technologies.
- Experience with large-scale, distributed, highly available, fault-tolerant, multi-tier hardware/software applications.
- Knowledge about infrastructure technologies including Containers, VMs, Databases, and Networking.
- Understanding of enterprise and cloud infrastructure with experience in platforms like Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with microservices and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.).
- Retail Industry Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of front-of-store operations including checkout flows, returns, promotions, inventory control, and overall customer experience.
- Ability to demo software solutions tailored to retail environments.

- Strong analytical abilities to evaluate customer needs, pain points, challenges, and opportunities, particularly those related to retail technology.
- High empathy for store associates, end users, and retail business needs.

- Ability to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and to confidently present to C-level executives.

Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, information systems, mechatronics engineering, or related field.
- Equivalent experience in retail technology is acceptable.
- Professional Experience:
- 8+ years in solution architecture, pre-sales, or systems integration within the retail industry.
- Languages:
- Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
