The Opportunity:

Reporting directly to the Assistant General Counsel, the SaaS Procurement Specialist will play a crucial role in managing the acquisition of Software as a Service (SAAS) solutions for our organization. You will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and negotiating contracts with SAAS vendors to ensure that our company's software needs are met efficiently and cost-effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify SAAS solutions that meet the specific needs of various departments within the organization.
  • Collaborate with department heads and key stakeholders to understand software requirements and priorities.
  • Evaluate SAAS vendors based on factors such as functionality, cost, scalability, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with SAAS vendors to ensure favorable terms for the company.
  • Manage the procurement process from vendor selection to contract signing and implementation.
  • Monitor contract performance and vendor relationships to ensure compliance with terms and service level agreements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in SAAS procurement, including staying up to date on relevant laws and implementation requirements surrounding AI vendors.

Skillset:

  • Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, or a related field, with specific experience in procuring SAAS solutions preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in the AI space is strongly preferred.

Education and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in SaaS procurement/procurement process management.
