Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Receivable Specialist, located in São Paulo, Brazil.
About you and this role
The Invoice to Cash, São Paulo Collections Senior Receivable Specialist is responsible for the Collection work processes of Dow customers. This role acts as the first level support for Receivable Specialist, leads continuous work process improvements, works on corporate initiatives and implementations, delivers training, ensures compliance with internal and external controls, coordinates internal and external audit efforts, among other responsibilities. As a Senior Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for Works closely with other sub-functions in the Invoice to Cash organization to deliver exceptional service to customers and maintain profitability for Dow. This role is integral to the success of the Company and business specific cash flow objectives as well as achieving key enterprise targets such as Percent Current Receivables and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
This role has a strong interaction with finance, commercial, customer service, and DSS organizations.
Responsibilities:
Acts as main customer point of contact for all accounts receivable activities.
Follows up on leads near due and past due collection activities.
Influences customer payment behaviours
Provides in-depth customer account knowledge to other areas of the invoice to cash organization as an active member of account teams.
Leads accounts receivable improvement projects specific to customer account activities.
Acts as a focal point for ECC product testing.
Manages account reconciliation including but not limited to offsets, sales adjustments, investigating and resolving discrepancies, resolving credit blocks, and processing returns.
Collaborates with Credit, business partners and other invoice to cash teams including escalation.
Utilizes payment receipt and handling work processes.
Adheres to compliance requirements for SOX and Legal
Additional activities, including but not limited to tax certificate updates, web portal review and update, document retrieval, and customer contact information updates.
Predefined KPIs provides input into organizational priorities and performance metrics.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Management and Business Administration degrees is preferred.
7 years of working experience (I2C, Customer service will be preferred), with SAP knowledge
Fluency in English and Spanish. Spoken and written.
Proficiency in MS tools is expected
