As a Senior Manager in Quality Engineering, you will lead initiatives across Quality, Automation, Test Frameworks, DevOps, and CI/CD. Your role involves identifying improvement areas, implementing strategies to optimize engineering processes, and driving innovation through AI-powered test automation and analytics. You will also mentor and guide teams to adopt best practices in QE/SDET, ensuring high-quality delivery at speed. 12+ years of progressive experience in Software Quality Engineering, Automation, DevOps, and Test Framework development, with at least 4+ years in leadership roles.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Define and execute QE strategy across automation, test frameworks, DevOps, and CI/CD
- Identify process gaps and implement optimization strategies for engineering efficiency
- Drive AI-based solutions for test automation and predictive quality metrics
- Develop and maintain test-related products and frameworks with hands-on coding
- Act as a technical leader and mentor, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development in QE/SDET practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on quality goals and deliverables
- Ensure compliance with Agile Testing fundamentals, including Shift-left testing, ATDD, and BDD
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Experience in Test Framework design patterns and maintenance
- Experience in Mobile Test Automation using Appium/Maestro
- Deep knowledge of Selenium/Playwright and ability to design robust automation solutions
- Solid understanding of Software Engineering & QE principles, including design, coding, test automation, and continuous testing
- Solid understanding of Agile Testing, Shift-left testing, and ATDD/BDD concepts
- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for test containerization
- Proficiency in Automation Frameworks, scripting languages, and at least one programming language (Java, Python)
- Proficiency with Rally, Jira for defect and test management
- Proven solid grasp of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, version control, and build tools
Preferred Qualification:
- Web development (Angular/React) and Backend API development
AI-driven Test Automation Skills:
- Implement AI-based test case generation and self-healing automation scripts
- Use ML models for predictive defect analysis and risk-based testing
- Apply Natural Language Processing (NLP) for converting requirements into automated test cases
- Leverage AI-powered visual testing tools for UI validation
- Integrate AI-driven dashboards and quality metrics for real-time insights
