The Senior Quality Control Inspector’s primary focus will be ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality products that meet our customer’s expectations.  Supporting the manufacturing and design teams to ensure the parts and materials used in the manufacture of our products meet the specification requirements and aerospace standards. We are looking for an individual to add to the Inspection Team, ensuring that complex checks are performed accurately and that communication is smooth.

This role reports to the Inspection Lead with support from manufacturing, planning and other Quality roles, such as Quality Engineers and Supplier Quality Engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical, dimensional, and/or visual inspections as appropriate for procured or manufactured parts and subassemblies
  • Operate manual and automated test and inspection equipment
  • Review submitted supplier documentation as required (material and/or special process) for accuracy and completeness
  • Perform part and subassembly inspection or testing
  • Record legible, complete, and accurate inspection results and other documentation
  • Author Discrepancy Reports (DR) as needed
  • Assist in calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment and update the calibration recall tracking system
  • Guide and mentor junior quality control inspectors
  • Other duties as assigned by Quality Management

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 5+ years of experience in quality control/inspection experience in a precision machining environment
  • Ability to read drawings and standards
  • Significant experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Skill using standard inspection methods, and reporting requirements
  • Experience operating automated inspection equipment such as comparators, height stands, surface profilometers, CMM, or similar
  • Experience in a moderate volume and mix manufacturing environment
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environment such as AS9100, ISO9001, ISO13485 or similar

Desired Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in quality control/inspection experience in an aerospace environment
  • ASQ CQI Certification
  • Advanced technical schooling

Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $33.12 - $41.40 per hour, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. What we can’t quantify for you are the exciting challenges, supportive team, and amazing culture we enjoy.
