Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Automation QA Engineer with strong experience in AWS environments, REST API automation, and UI testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building robust automation frameworks, ensuring application quality across microservices-based systems, and contributing to scalable test strategies.
Experience in Playwright and modern automation tools is essential, along with a strong understanding of cloud-native applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks for web applications and APIs
- Perform end-to-end testing across UI, backend, and integrated systems
- Develop and execute REST API automation test suites
- Implement UI automation using tools like Playwright
- Work in AWS-based environments to validate cloud-native applications
- Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams in an Agile environment
- Validate data integrity across services and integrations
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing
- Identify, document, and track defects effectively
- Ensure high standards of test coverage, performance, and security
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4–8 years of experience in Automation Testing
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- REST API Automation Testing
- UI Automation Testing
- Proficiency with Playwright (preferred) or similar tools (Selenium, Cypress)
- Experience with automation scripting languages such as:
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- Java or Python
- Solid understanding of software testing concepts and QA methodologies
- Experience working in AWS cloud environments
- Familiarity with:
- Microservices architecture
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Strong debugging and analytical skills
Good to Have Skills
- Experience in ETL/data pipeline testing
- Exposure to PySpark-based data validation
- Familiarity with:
- AWS data services (S3, Glue, EMR)
- Knowledge of database testing (SQL/NoSQL)
- Experience with performance or load testing tools
- Understanding of test data management and data validation strategies
