Job Role: Senior Python/SQL Engineer

Location : Toronto, ON /Hybrid

Position Type : Contract Role

Duration : 6 months with possible extensions

Hybrid - Minimum 4 days in a week

Ideal Candidate Rate: CAD 90-95/Hr (Depending on the experience)

Must Have:

• Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and C# application development.
• Hands-on experience migrating Oracle-based applications to Snowflake rather than simply developing in Snowflake.
• Experience with Snowflake, including SQL development, connectivity, query optimization, and migration from legacy databases.
• Support the migration of Power BI dashboards and reports from Oracle-based data sources to Snowflake.
• Minimum 4 years of software development, database development, or data engineering experience.
• Analyze and update C#, Julia, and Python applications that currently depend on Oracle tables, Oracle SQL, and Oracle stored procedures.
• Experience with Julia is a plus
• Experience with Oracle databases, including Oracle SQL, stored procedures, and database-driven applications.
• Background in financial services, ideally supporting market risk, investment risk, or capital markets teams.
• Experience with Power BI dashboard development, migration, or data source repointing.
