Purpose/Objective:
- Responsible to deliver instruments, facelifts or product life cycle improvements according to defined timeline, scope, cost and quality targets as leader of a CFT project team.
Area of Responsibilities:
- Project Scale:
- Stand-alone instrument NPD projects, with local development team-based team wheel.
- Responsibility for scope/ feature definition.
- Responsibility to create full project VPM.
- Limited customer segment responsibility.
- Responsible for financial product calculations (SC/ Rev./ IPV) / project.
- Accountable to deliver development projects or major design changes within timeline, budget and quality constraints while meeting scope, quality system requirements / compliance rules under guidance
- Establish and monitor use of tools for project tracking and management
- Manage the critical path of the project
- Identify, track and mitigate on key risks (commercial/ technical) together with the core team
- Align stakeholders and manage expectation under guidance
- Ensures all team members understand project objectives, and know their roles and responsibilities
- Assure Productive use of company standards
- Ensure full compliance of all executed project activities according Leica and regulatory standards (FDA; ISO 13485)
- Controls project costs and support preparing accurate forecast on R&D cost and capital expenses under guidance
- Supports maintenance of department-specific processes and tool under guidance

Skills / Competencies
- Ability to efficient use and improve Project Management tools and techniques;
- Expert in ADP, DCR, OEM process;
- Effective communication skills;
- Ability to apply PSP Process to drive project results;
- Cross functional experience on global teams and/ or project higher complexity;
- Empathetic (able to see from multiple perspectives);
- Experience use of key DBS tools;
- Solid change management skills;
- Experienced with risk management techniques and methodologies;
- Ability to analyse complex situations;
- Financial experience.
