Job Description

This position is hybrid and will be required to be in office two times per month for collaboration working sessions.

Job Summary

The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of large-sized projects and programs that require business and/or technology changes.  The Sr. Project Manager will also serve as the escalation point for the project team to discuss changes, risks, and any schedule updates.  The Sr. Project Manager also facilitates communications to the business sponsors, business leads, and IT team members.     

Job Duties

  • Manage all aspects, including business and IT tasks, of assigned large-sized and vendor projects and/or programs.  Lead project teams through all project processes as defined by the EPMO processes. 
  • Serve as an SME with detailed understanding of business processes and applications, customer needs and priorities.
  • Resolve project issues, mitigates project risks, manages scope, and manages deadlines.
  • Build and maintain positive and constructive relationships with key business, IT stakeholders, team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects, and appropriately manage expectations. 
  • Facilitate meetings to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close-out projects. 
  • Facilitate the completion and archiving of all necessary documentation during the life the project.
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders and EPMO management team on a regular basis.
  • Create and maintain project schedules from initiation to closing of the project.  
  • Proactive in developing and implementing processes, procedures and policies for IT Project Management.
  • Train and transfer knowledge to new and existing Project Manabger of all levels.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Six (6) years or more years of direct hands-on project management experience. 
  • Project Management certification preferred.
  • Experience in the auto or finance industry preferred. 
  • Excellent facilitation, collaboration, communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to reconcile initiatives with business strategies and goals.
  • Proficient with standard project management tools including project plans, resource capacity planning, risk management, etc.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
  • Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.

Job Summary

The Technical Senior Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of large-sized projects and programs that require business and/or technology changes. This role plays a critical part in cross-functional relationship building, stakeholder management, influence across the organization, and execution on high priority enterprise-level initiatives to include technology modernization, testing strategies, cyber security, and additional Ad Hoc initiatives. 

Job Duties

  • Manage infrastructure, network, and security projects with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout delivery life cycle.

  • Direct all aspects, including business and IT tasks, of assigned large-sized and vendor projects and/or programs.  Lead project teams through all project processes as defined by the EPMO processes. 

  • Resolve project issues, mitigates project risks, manages scope, and manages deadlines.

Serve as the escalation point for the project team to discuss changes, risks, and any schedule updates.

  • Build and maintain positive and constructive relationships with key business, IT stakeholders, team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects, and appropriately manage expectations. 

  • Facilitate meetings to initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and close-out projects. 

  • Expedite the completion and archiving of all necessary documentation during the life the project.

  • Communicate project status to stakeholders and EPMO management team on a regular basis.

  • Ability to simplify the technically complex and drive well-educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science representatives.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent work experience preferred

  • Four (4) years or more years of direct hands-on project management experience. 

  • Project Management certification preferred.

  • ITIL Certification preferred.

  • Experience in the auto or finance industry preferred. 

  • AWS Solutions Architect certification(s) preferred.

  • Excellent facilitation, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical skills, ability to reconcile initiatives with business strategies and goals.

  • 3+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.

  • 3+ years of public cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure)

  • 3+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture - preferably using AWS.

  • 3+ years of experience building highly scalable mobile products & platforms.

  • 5+ years of experience with Agile delivery

  • 5+ years of experience delivering large and complex programs - where you own the business or technical vision, collaborate with large cross-functional teams, secure commitments on deliverables, and unblock teams to land business impact.

  • 3+ building systems & solutions within a highly regulated environment

  • Proficient with standard project management tools including project plans, resource capacity planning, risk management, etc.

  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.

  • Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

  • Excellent problem solving and influencing skills.

  • A quantitative approach to problem solving and a collaborative implementer to holistic solutions; a system thinker.
