What does a successful Senior Project Manager do at Fiserv?

You will enjoy the flexibility of working on a variety of projects and relish in the benefits and satisfaction of bringing their assigned projects to a successful completion. Contact Service Technology Project Managers are invaluable leaders within our business in coordinating the implementation of complex projects completed by our Fiserv team. You will be responsible for ensuring predictable, consistent, and successful project delivery of our Contact Service Technology projects our Financial Institution (FI) Clients. You will plan, coordinate, and monitor medium to large sized scope and budget projects as well as partner with key business stakeholders to ensure a successful start-up and completion of a project. Projects typically impact a single business unit or functional area.

What you will do:

  • Create and maintain a consolidated timeline highlighting the major milestones and associated dates for project activities
  • Define project governance, outlining roles, responsibilities, decision rights and clearly defined escalation path
  • Ensure success criteria defined upfront to promote alignment and actively manage to expected project outcomes
  • Keep all stakeholders engaged in the project, aligned on expected outcomes and informed about what is occurring throughout project
  • Actively communicate the project’s progress on an on-going basis, ensuring transparency throughout project lifecycle
  • Identify and remove bottlenecks in the critical path and motivate the resources to complete tasks on time
  • Manage third party relationships involved in the overall implementation project to include scheduling activities, maintaining budget control and ensuring deliverables are properly defined and completed on schedule

What you will need to have:

  • 5+ years of experience managing credit union or bank software implementation or conversion projects
  • 5+ years of experience in project management processes and methodologies, as well as project lifecycles
  • 5+ years of experience working in a client facing role and driving medium to large size projects within an organization
  • 5+ years of experience working in agile project management environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and military experience

What would be great to have:

  • Certifications - PMP certification preferred or willingness to work toward attainment of PMP certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
  • Strong knowledge of Clarity, Jira and Confluence to manage projects using best practices
  • Experience working in banking, financial services, and/or software industries desired

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Nevada, Rhode Island or Washington.
