Senior Project Manager
Role Description: Huitt-Zollars has a great full-time opportunity for Senior Project Architect at our Houston Downtown office. This role assists the design teams through all project phases including business and client development, programming, design and construction documents, and construction administration while maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have worked in Institutional, Commercial, and/or Public Works markets.

Education: Bachelors in Architecture from a NCARB accredited program
Duties:
- Leads technical design for the office and directs a multi-disciplinary team to produce design documents for a wide variety of building types.
- Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of projects with a high degree of technical complexity.
- Supervise project team’s work cooperatively with the project manager and project designer.
- Coordinate workload within project teams and work with other project directors to manage workload across the office
- Ensure project development, documentation and its completion meets schedule, budget, code requirements, and technical quality requirements.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Review work and propose changes to design, and to comply with building codes and budget.
- Prepare plan of action to resolve project issues.
- Prepare bids or assist with contractor selection process.
- Assist market sector teams in preparing proposals, and participating in new project presentations as requested.
- Collaborates with project teams to solve tough problems and provide creative design solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Architecture required.
- Registered Licensed Architect in Texas required.
- 12 years of experience in profession as an Architect.
- Demonstrated building construction technical experience.
- Have worked in Institutional, Commercial, and/or Public Works markets.
- Ability to prioritize and deliver multiple projects with varying deadlines.
- Proficient in REVIT and Adobe Suite a must and working knowledge with architectural tools such as SketchUp and Rhino
- Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills.
- Ability to lead and coordinate consultant teams.
- Ability to interact with owners and user groups.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Senior Project Manager (SPM) Role Annual Performance Goals & Expectations:
- Having a deep understanding of how your work and contributions as a co-owner add to Huitt-Zollars’ mission and core values.
- Maintaining expected Effective Labor Multiplier (ELM) on sum of all associated projects.
- Consistently upholds business processes including timely monthly A/R’s, invoicing, timekeeping, resource forecasting, percent completes, etc.
- Achieves personal sales goal.
- Achieves stated target personal utilization goal for SPM.
- Understands, follows and ensures quality control measures and risk management measures are being applied and adhered to projects and daily operations.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion
- The employee must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities

Skills Required
