EnerMech is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead the successful delivery of projects within our Lifting Solutions O&M business. This role is responsible for managing projects from initial enquiry through final account, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The Senior Project Engineer will coordinate technical, commercial, supply chain, and project control activities while maintaining strong customer relationships and driving profitable project execution. The role requires a commercially focused and technically capable professional who can effectively manage risk, influence stakeholders, and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction across multiple projects and work scopes.

Job Description:

  • Lead the delivery of assigned projects from initial enquiry through project closeout and final account settlement.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, deliverables, and budgets to ensure successful execution and profitability.
  • Coordinate technical, supply chain, engineering, and project control activities to meet client and EnerMech requirements.
  • Provide project reporting and performance updates to clients and EnerMech management.
  • Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate risks related to project schedules, deliverables, costs, and resources.
  • Manage project changes, including budgets, work scopes, schedules, and other commercial or operational risks through established company processes.
  • Support bids and tender activities by providing technical and operational input as required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Liaise with clients to understand technical requirements and develop value-driven solutions.
  • Review technical drawings, work packages, and engineering documentation to ensure project acceptance and execution readiness.
  • Conduct site and client management visits as necessary to support project delivery.
  • Manage issues and challenges that arise during project execution and implement timely and effective solutions.
  • Manage and monitor assigned project finances, including materials, equipment, personnel costs, and overall project performance.
  • Ensure lessons learned are captured and communicated to relevant stakeholders to support continuous improvement.
  • Assist in developing team capability and departmental performance under the direction of the Operations Manager.
  • Support large project builds and service-specific projects while ensuring commercial targets are met or exceeded.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable quality, health, safety, and environmental requirements throughout project execution.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline required; advanced engineering qualifications are preferred.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-discipline projects within the offshore, oil and gas, industrial services, maintenance, or energy sectors.
  • Proven experience delivering projects from initial enquiry through final account, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable project execution.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, project controls, change management, and risk management.
  • Experience managing project finances, including materials, equipment, personnel costs, and commercial reporting.
  • Ability to review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Experience supporting bids, tenders, and commercial proposals with technical and operational input.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand contractual obligations and manage project risk effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in the absence of a clearly defined framework.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under pressure.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and challenging traditional approaches to project delivery.
  • Ability to set high standards for performance and contribute to the development of team capability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines and functions.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and offshore locations as required.

Skills Required
