This Position reports to:

Engineering Manager
 

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create, modify, and analyze the design of equipment, systems, or installations, including specifications for manufacturing, fabrication, or construction. Each day, you will optimize designs to meet updated standards and incorporate new products, components, and functionalities. You will also showcase your expertise by applying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects.

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

This role is contributing to the Electrification business in Smart Power division at Nashik, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Performing project peer-reviews, utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.

  • Creating standard processes and tools to promote the reuse of technical solutions, innovation, and productivity in the design team.

  • Developing work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects.

  • Reviewing complete project documents for conformity, safety, cybersecurity, and quality assurance requirements.

Qualifications for the role:
  • Very good knowledge of the construction of low-voltage MNS switchboards.
  • You have 8 to 12 years of experience in mechanical design of switchboards based on electrical documentation - basic electrical knowledge is required.
  • Ability to work in programs: SolidWorks, MNS Engineer, Windchill, SAP, MS Office, AutoCAD.
  • Experience in 3D design skills and the creation of manufacturing/production documentation. Selection of mechanical switchgear components based on electrical requirements, IP protection, anti-arc protection, and other customer requirements, customization of standard solutions, design of metal constructions, busbars, busduct connection, mounting electrical components in panels and modules.
  • Experience in preparing mechanical BOM in Windchill / SAP, busbar arrangements in AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate with client Mechanical team for Busduct / Busways finalization.
  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (should be full-time)
