SENIOR PROGRAMMER ANALYST
IMT Insurance is looking to hire an enthusiastic Sr. Programmer Analyst to fill our need in our West Des Moines office. This individual will work to support existing legacy (mainframe) systems while building their skillset for web-based system enhancement and support. You must be creative, eager, and willing to suggest new efficient enhancements to products and/or programming designs. Apply online today!
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Work to support and enhance our current products while working, in a collaborative team environment, to analyze, develop, and implement efficiencies.
- Work with subject matter experts to understand legacy system development layout, process, and procedures.
- Work independently but also in a cooperative manner for larger projects.
- Participate in ‘on call’ rotation.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience programming in COBOL
- Knowledge of JCL, DB2, CICS, Fileaid, TSO. Experience on IBM Z/OS mainframe is a plus.
- Good working knowledge of SQL language. Ability to create own queries, write/update stored procedures.
- Fundamental understanding of system development.
- Web programming (Python, Perl, .js, etc..) a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to pay close attention to details.
- Proven ability to analyze and problem solve.

The salary range for this position is $87,000.00 - $117,000.00
Starting salary and level of position will depend on level of experience
This position is not eligible for tips or commission but may be eligible for additional bonuses
