Senior Program Project Officer (Targeted)

• Part-time (0.6 FTE) fixed-term position until June 2028 for a dedicated Senior Program Project Officer (Targeted)
• Location flexible with regular travel expectations, University Centre for Rural health in Lismore
• Base salary $117,133.00 (Pro Rata) + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

WellMob is an innovative, Aboriginal-led digital mental health and wellbeing initiative, leading online social and emotional wellbeing resource platform supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing workforces across Australia. 

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Officer (Targeted) to lead the creation of training resources and programs that empower frontline workers and strengthen outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, families, communities, and workforce.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• design and deliver workforce development initiatives that build capability in the use of Social and Emotional Wellbeing resources
• create practical, culturally responsive change to safe learning resources and training materials for health and wellbeing professionals
• engage and collaborate with stakeholders to identify workforce needs and develop solutions that support improved practice
• coordinate projects and activities, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and to a high standard 
• promote training opportunities and contribute to stakeholder engagement activities across a range of platforms
• support research and evaluation activities that inform continuous improvement and future workforce development initiatives
• foster strong partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, organisations, and health services
• contribute to a positive, collaborative, and culturally safe team environment.

About you

• a strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander concepts of Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) and associated health and wellbeing services
• experience developing, coordinating, or delivering training, education, workforce development, or health promotion initiatives 
• strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, timelines, and deliverables
• excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, including confidence using online communication platforms and digital technologies
• the ability to build and maintain respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, organisations, and stakeholders
• experience creating engaging learning resources, training materials, or educational content
• the ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
• relevant qualifications and/or equivalent experience in Aboriginal and Torres Islander health, social sciences, education, social work, mental health, or a related field.
