Job Title
Amadeus empowers hotels, destinations, and travel providers with award-winning solutions that enhance every step of the traveler journey. This role is on one of the agile teams working on Amadeus central reservation system(ACRS) in hospitality division.
Summary of the role:The Product Owner maximizes customer value by guiding Agile teams toward delivering high-impact outcomes. This includes owning and prioritizing the product backlog, writing clear and actionable user stories with strong acceptance criteria, and ensuring the delivered work meets defined standards. The role actively participates in daily scrums, backlog refinement, iteration planning, demos, and retrospectives while representing the customer’s perspective to the development team.
Working within Scrum or Kanban, the Product Owner applies best Agile practices such as vertical slicing, effective prioritization, and continuous refinement of backlog items. In a scaled Agile (SAFe) environment, the role also engages in ART-level ceremonies—such as PI Planning, PO Sync, ART Sync, and System Demo—and collaborates closely with the ART Product Manager to maintain alignment between team and program backlogs.
In this role you’ll:
Define and prioritize product features and user stories, translating customer and business needs into clear requirements.
Maintain close customer interaction, managing escalations, troubleshooting issues, and supporting certification activities.
Own and refine the product backlog, balancing customer value, technical enablers, and cross‑team alignment.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Engineering, UX, and business stakeholders to shape the product vision and roadmap.
Work closely with Agile teams to ensure timely delivery of the right functionality.
Participate actively in Agile/SAFe ceremonies (PI Planning, PO Sync, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives, System Demos).
Communicate product value through demos, presentations, documentation, and enablement for customer‑facing teams.
Contribute to product launches, pilot plans, and RFP/RFI responses.
Is a strong communicator with the ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams and customers across multiple geographical locations.
Brings solid Product Owner experience, translating business and customer needs into clear, actionable requirements.
Thrives in Agile/SAFe environments, effectively managing priorities, facilitating collaboration, and ensuring smooth delivery.
Is comfortable handling customer escalations, troubleshooting issues, and supporting certification processes.
Has experience leading small to medium-sized teams, influencing decisions, and driving alignment across stakeholders is essential.
Has a proactive mindset, ownership attitude, and a passion for delivering customer value round out the profile
