PayPal, Inc. seeks Senior Product Manager in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Support the sales teams and provide valuable advice to successfully close deals. Meet with team and business leads to align on key deals that are priorities for critical verticals and bring strategic initiatives that are relevant to the Sales Team. Manage cross-functional teams such as Product and Engineering, Finance, Support, Global Sales, Professional Services, Marketing, Go-to-Market, and Account Management, leveraging internal resources and external partnerships to ensure timely execution and alignment with project development roadmap. Monitor individual and team progress to ensure the implementation of successful sales and account expansion solutions for branded checkout deals are aligned with quality assurance standards. Ensure solutions meet tailored requirements to help PayPal maintain robust adoption and performance. Evaluate individual and team performance at each project checkpoint using KPI metrics and make personnel and budgetary adjustments as needed. Engage in merchant communication, participate in conferences, collaborate with partners, and host webinars to educate the organization on areas such as branded checkout and the broader commerce ecosystem. Execute on support related to client engagement/outreach for the key client cohorts. Ideate and propose new strategic initiatives, including areas such as UX optimization, presentation, conversion rate, and innovative e-commerce solutions. Align the domain teams with the evolving needs of merchants, encompassing consumer experience and product performance. Consult on and influence the sales positioning of products. Navigate complex large enterprise client requirements, experiences, and nuances related to checkout. Contribute to the improvement and "hardening" of systems employed by the broader organization (involving areas such as branded payment processing and performance, sales motions, and upselling).  Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Engineering Management, Business, Economics or a related field. Bachelor’s in Electronics & Communication Engineering accompanied by a minor in Economics plus five years of experience in E-commerce Product Management, primarily in leading Checkout & Payments post purchase order management.

Special Skill Requirements:

1. Leading Product strategy for Checkout & Payments, or merchant-facing platforms in an e-commerce or payments company.

2. Experience driving improvements in Conversion rate, Average Order Values, Total Payment Volume or other revenue performance metrics

3. Experience collaborating with cross functional teams including Engineering, UX, Data Science, Sales, Marketing, Go-to-Market teams, Merchant integrations, Analytics, and other Business teams deliver Product features.

4. Experience launching high impact products through extensive A/B testing and experimentation in the E-commerce checkout, Payments, fintech or merchant solutions.

5. Experience leading Partner/merchant interactions and integrations

6. Experience building high-impact checkout, payment, and e-commerce experiences for merchants and consumers, driving conversion, retention, and revenue growth

7. Experience crafting intuitive, trustworthy, and efficient payment experiences rooted in deep customer empathy and behavioral insights using tools such as User Testing and Amplitude.

8. Experience building global, scalable commerce and payment systems integrating APIs, payment tokenization, risk, and compliance frameworks that are SAQ compliant

9. Experience improving checkout and funnel performance through experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, and analytics tools such as Tableau, Figma, MicroStrategy and Power BI.

10. Experience collaborating with engineering, design, UXR, operations, marketing, architecture and other cross functional teams to drive end-to-end delivery and continuous optimization

11. Experience designing and optimizing checkout user experiences using Figma

12. Knowledge of global e-commerce or marketplace checkout business models and multi-region considerations

13. Ability to translate complex technical products into business value messaging Payment networks, authorization flows, fraud, risk models, and checkout optimization.

14. Knowledge of cross-border payments, merchant acquiring, PSP competitive landscape and alternative payment methods

15. Experience leading Product development cycles using both Scrum and Kanban methodologies

16. Experience building cloud solutions

The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is: 

Primary Location | Pay Range: 

San Jose, California | Salary: $181,293.00-270,500.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
