The Role
SoFi is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead a strategic portfolio of new initiatives within our Personal Loans business. In this role, you will define and drive a multi-quarter roadmap focused on unlocking new growth opportunities, expanding our product ecosystem, and delivering meaningful value to our members.
You will own and scale key cross-sell experiences, including systems that power intelligent product recommendations and ranking across SoFi surfaces. You’ll also evaluate and incubate new product opportunities, partnerships, and emerging bets that extend the reach of our Personal Loans platform.
This is a highly cross-functional and high-impact role for a product leader who thrives in ambiguity, can set clear direction in evolving spaces, and is equally comfortable defining strategy and driving execution. You will partner closely with engineering, data science, design, marketing, and business stakeholders to bring new capabilities to life and ensure they deliver measurable results.
What you’ll do
- Identify and define new product opportunities that drive growth for Personal Loans, with a focus on cross-sell, engagement, and member value
- Build and iterate on recommendation and ranking systems that surface the right products to the right members at the right time
- Lead 0→1 product development from problem definition through launch, including experimentation, iteration, and scaling
- Partner closely with Data Science to define models, inputs, and success metrics for personalization and optimization systems
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Risk, and Operations to deliver high-quality experiences
- Define and track key metrics, using data to inform prioritization, evaluate performance, and drive continuous improvement
- Maintain a high-quality backlog and drive execution in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Communicate product strategy, progress, and insights clearly to stakeholders and leadership
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, ideally in a technical, finance, or quantitative field.
- 5+ years of product management experience
- Proven track record of owning product areas or initiatives and delivering measurable business impact
- Experience defining product strategy and driving execution across a multi-quarter roadmap
- Strong product intuition with the ability to identify high-impact opportunities and make sound prioritization decisions
- Data-driven mindset with experience using metrics, experimentation, and analysis to guide decisions
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design, and data science teams
- Strong communication skills, including experience influencing stakeholders and presenting to senior leadership
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with high ownership
Nice to have
- Experience with growth, personalization, or recommendation systems
- Background in fintech, lending, or consumer financial products
- Experience working on 0→1 and scaling product initiatives
- Familiarity with experimentation frameworks and A/B testing
- Exposure to machine learning–driven products or ranking systems
- Experience building cross-sell or multi-product ecosystems

What We Do
SoFi wasn’t built to be a bank. Or a technology company. We were built for one mission: help people achieve financial independence so they can realize their ambitions. Redefining an entire industry isn’t easy work—and it’s not for the faint of heart. It takes a certain kind of team. People with diverse perspectives and expertise, united by a common sense of purpose. People willing to challenge assumptions but always do the right thing. People proving that innovation and responsibility don’t have to compete, but can come together to create something truly unconventional in the world. For the last eight years, we’ve been charting this new path forward. We call it The SoFi Way. At SoFi, we don’t just talk about culture: we live it. The SoFi Way is how we show up every day, how we make decisions, and how we build for our members, clients, and each other.
