What You'll Do:
As a Senior Product Manager at SambaSafety, you will take on a leadership role in steering the strategic direction and success of our product portfolio. Leveraging your extensive experience, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization to execution, and driving initiatives that align with the company's overall goals. You will guide the development process, ensuring that products meet high standards of quality and innovation. Your strategic mindset, analytical acumen, and effective communication will be pivotal in shaping the future of our products and maintaining a competitive edge in the marketInitiating telephone and email contact with potential prospects.
- Conduct In-Depth Market Analysis: Perform comprehensive market research to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging trends. Use these insights to inform product strategy and identify new opportunities.
- Stay Abreast of Industry Trends: Continuously monitor industry developments and technological advancements to ensure our products remain competitive and innovative.
- Translate Insights into Actionable Strategies: Convert market and industry insights into clear, actionable product strategies that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate Closely with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful product delivery.
- Define Product Roadmaps and Manage the Product Backlog: Develop and maintain detailed product roadmaps that align with business goals. Manage the product backlog to ensure timely and efficient delivery of product features.
- Mentor and Support Junior Product Managers: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior product managers, helping them develop their skills and advance their careers.
What you'll need:
- Advanced Business and Strategy skills: Includes the ability to create or build a product vision, strategy, strategic models, market research, business models, and product portfolio management experience.
- Expertise in Executing large initiatives: Includes setting goals (e.g., OKRs), managing outcomes, roadmaps, project management (e.g., risk management, stakeholder management), Agile, and Lean.
- Advanced People Networking: Includes building alignment, leadership (leading with the context and culture), and management (coaching, mentoring, hiring). Mastering influencing without authority.
- Advanced skills with Data Analytics: Includes product analytics, frameworks, OKRs, and other techniques (funnel analysis, heatmaps), data analysis tools, and turning data into insights.
- Expertise in Product Discovery: Includes customer research (interviews, surveys), initial product discovery, continuous product discovery, and essential techniques.
- Expertise with Experimentation: Includes formulating hypotheses, verifying market engagement hypotheses, working with user prototypes and spikes, A/B testing, and multivariate testing.
- Experience with Product Marketing Initiatives: Includes GTM strategy planning (e.g., segmentation, positioning, pricing, channels, customer engagement), enabling sales and partners, and planning and executing marketing campaigns with the product marketing team.
- Experience with Product Growth: Includes Product-led growth, optimizing the entire AARRR funnel, pricing models, and leveraging virality and network effects.
