At WHOOP, we're on a mission to unlock human performance and healthspan. WHOOP empowers members to perform at a higher level through a deeper understanding of their bodies and daily lives, turning physiological data into trusted insight that helps guide everyday decisions.

WHOOP is hiring a Senior Product Manager to lead the evolution of the foundational algorithms that turn sensor data into trusted physiological measurements. In this role, you will own the product strategy and roadmap for core measurement capabilities that underpin the WHOOP experience, with a focus on accuracy, robustness, and performance in the real world.

You will work at the intersection of product, signal processing, machine learning, research science, hardware, and engineering to identify the most important opportunities to improve our algorithms, establish a high bar for performance, and translate technical advances into meaningful improvements for members. Your work will strengthen the foundation behind WHOOP experiences across Strain, Recovery, Sleep, Healthspan, coaching, and beyond.

Responsibilities:

  • Define what best-in-class sensing means for WHOOP and own the strategy and roadmap to make our foundational algorithms more accurate, reliable, and robust across the full range of real-world conditions.

  • Establish clear success criteria and make thoughtful tradeoffs across accuracy, coverage, responsiveness, power, and member experience.

  • Lead cross-functional strategy of sensing capabilities at WHOOP across Sensor Intelligence, Machine Learning, Hardware, and Embedded, driving alignment on priorities, technical tradeoffs, validation, and launch readiness.

  • Build a deep understanding of where our sensing performs well and where it breaks down, using field data, controlled validation, member feedback, and competitive benchmarking to identify the highest-impact opportunities for improvement.

  • Turn advances in sensing into meaningful member value, working across Product to ensure improvements in our foundational signals unlock better experiences across WHOOP.

  • Shape the future of sensing at WHOOP by identifying new algorithmic and technical capabilities that can expand what we can measure, improve how well we measure it, and create new opportunities for the product.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of product management experience, ideally building technically complex products in consumer health, wearables, sensing, machine learning, or adjacent domains.

  • Experience working with sensor data, algorithms, or quantitative models, with the technical fluency to engage deeply with engineering and scientific teams on performance, failure modes, validation, and system tradeoffs.

  • Strong analytical instincts and comfort working directly with data to identify opportunities, challenge assumptions, and make informed product decisions.

  • Exceptional product judgment, with the ability to balance scientific rigor, technical complexity, member impact, and speed of execution.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through ambiguous, technically challenging problems, creating clarity and alignment across disciplines with different perspectives and constraints.

  • Strong communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into clear product decisions and compelling narratives for a broad range of audiences.

  • Passion for building products that help people better understand their bodies through accurate, trusted, and meaningful data.
