We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager, Observability to join Procore’s Platform Services / Cloud Platform Engineering department. In this role, you’ll shape the future of Procore’s global observability strategy by treating our 1,000+ internal developers as your customers. Your primary goal is to deliver a seamless, self-service observability platform and "Golden Path" tooling that makes debugging effortless, drives down Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR), and fundamentally elevates our engineering practices.
As a Senior Product Manager, Observability, you’ll partner with Runtime Platform Engineering, infrastructure architects, and application teams to consult on end-to-end journey monitoring and build comprehensive observability solutions. Use your technical depth, platform thinking, and AI-forward vision to reimagine how developers interact with telemetry and elevate Procore's engineering standards. Procore’s global scale means our observability footprint is massive, powering a SaaS platform that is actively transforming one of the world's largest, least-digitized industries — Apply today to join our mission.
This position reports into the Group Product Manager Ecosystem and will be based in our Cairo, Egypt office. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.
What you’ll do:
AI is central to how we work. You’ll be expected to master generative tools and agentic workflows, moving beyond just using AI to actively building the agentic future of construction
Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for Procore’s telemetry pipelines, developer tooling, and self-service monitoring frameworks.
Act as the primary evangelist for our observability platform by conducting deep discovery, building tutorials, and physically showing engineering teams how to leverage telemetry to solve complex problems.
Reimagine how developers interact with telemetry in the AI era by defining and building the infrastructure and "Agentic" workflows that allow AI-coding assistants and autonomous agents to consume data, perform root-cause analysis, and support self-healing systems.
Lead the transition to vendor-neutral standards, ensuring out-of-the-box observability via OpenTelemetry (OTel) is baked into our core code repositories by default.
Partner with Runtime Platform Engineering, infrastructure architects, and application teams to consult on end-to-end journey monitoring.
Define victory conditions and measurable KPIs for mission-critical services to continuously optimize system health and performance.
Evaluate emerging Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) tools, trends, and methodologies to continuously enhance our internal data ingestion and lifecycle management.
What we’re looking for:
Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Have a minimum of 5+ years of experience managing infrastructure, platform, or developer tools at SaaS scale.
Demonstrate deep hands-on specific skills with modern monitoring stacks, metrics/logging libraries, and aggregators such as Datadog, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, and Elasticsearch.
Maintain specific skills and strong familiarity with cloud-native technologies, specifically Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry (OTel), Fluentbit, and the trade-offs of modern distributed tracing.
Leverage past specific skills as an engineer, technical architect, or in a Developer Relations (DevRel) capacity to establish engineering respect and credibility.
Exhibit strong platform thinking by translating complex infrastructure requirements into clean, structured platform specifications and developer-facing APIs.
Show an AI-forward vision and a clear understanding of how Agentic software development (LLM tool-use, autonomous coding assistants) is changing the software development lifecycle.
Demonstrate the personal characteristics and drive needed to sit down with skeptical developers, understand their architecture, and co-create instrumentation solutions.
