Description and Requirements
Role Value Proposition:
This role is responsible for working with the Disability and Life National Accounts Product Directors in the Product COE. This position will also provide technical product support and deep advisory/consultative expertise to sales partners, proposal, and underwriting teams in those product areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Sales, proposals and underwriting with technical product questions in all pre-sale activities
- RFP/RFI Support
- Provide product expertise, positioning and support for prospective customer RFPs as well as annual broker RFIs (QA, revisions and edits, product specifics, etc.)
- Revise disability and life plan reviews for external release with RFPs; evaluate and determine variable language or alternative plan options for National Accounts cases
- Disability Change Management requests and Life Recordkeeping prescreens
- Support product development initiatives as SME
- Reporting support (i.e. benchmarking)
- Support in market resources prepare for customer meetings (finalist, stewardship and broker meetings)
- Support development of training material (GBSU, Met U, Underwriting)
- Support internal product training as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- Firm knowledge of group Life, Disability and Absence products, services and systems
- 5+ years Group Benefits Industry knowledge, specifically Life, Absence and Disability product
- Strong knowledge of competitors and Industry Best Practices
- Ability to create strong internal and external partnerships
Preferred:
- Extensive industry knowledge spanning cross-functional partners' areas (Underwriting, Claims, Sales Process, etc.)
The salary range for applicants for this position is $80,000-130,000.
