Description:POSITION PURPOSE

Maintains a consultative partnership with a business area/user clients, by providing operational functional knowledge supporting the development of new/improved capabilities and translating medium complexity business requirements to functional requirements. Serves as an experienced resource, by representing and interpreting client needs of medium complexity to technical staff and ensuring solutions meet overall client business needs and expectations. Works with product engineering and service optimization business partners/stakeholders.

Work activities require advanced knowledge and skills of the service line applications supported. Strong communication and facilitation skills are required to interface with varied audiences. Work assignments are generally challenging, difficult and complex often requiring direction and collaborative guidance with some latitude to consider whether new procedures may need to be developed, consistent with current policies and existing principles in order to achieve desired end results.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Knows, understands, incorporates and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision and Values in leadership behaviors, practices and decisions.
  • Provides consultative support to the business owners in order to understand, define and translate business requirements of medium complexity into functional specifications. Serves as a liaison between the client and the technical support staff.  Works with the home office business partners.
  • Researches and evaluates moderately complex operational/functional area work-flows, investigates practices, processes and procedures; meets with decision makers and clients to define business requirements. Analyzes current business system issues and develops process improvement and participates in best practice.
  • Works with clients to define business problems/issues and desired outcomes. Develops recommendations on alternative approaches and possible opportunities, while determining impact and long-term viability of solutions.
  • Maintains detailed product roadmap outlining steps and timetables for completion; conducts process flow mapping and assists with conversion initiatives.
  • Provides moderately complex statistical analysis and creates reports, graphs, analytics, and charts and communicates performance trends and optimization opportunities to business owners.
  • Works with TIS Finance to define a cost allocation within the overall context of the IT finance model. 
  • Consults with financial analytical support colleagues and analyzes medium impact costs associated with delivering service and identifies opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyzes, reports, and monitors the established measures of service quality and value.
  • Analyzes, reports, monitors and communicates vendor performance against contract terms.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.
  • pay grade 15 range 96,319.82-144,479.7275  Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, healthcare or a related field and a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of product management experience including but not limited to providing user guidance and consultation in translating moderately complex business requirements into functional specifications; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in system integration is required.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience utilizing healthcare software applications and interfaces preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge and three (3) to five (5) years of experience of health care delivery and supported business processes preferred.
  • Advanced skills utilizing presentation software.
  • Ability to meet competing project deadlines, set priorities and take on a project lead role.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and apply to software application.
  • Advanced analytical, technical, problem solving skills and technical aptitude.
  • Ability to represent the team in customer and inter-team meetings, present information and provide consultative advice. Ability to effectively lead group sessions and translate technical issues into business terminology.
  • Ability to create moderately complex functional specifications.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to interface with various internal business analysts, hospital client users and external vendors.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess a willingness to learn and develop skills.
  • Must possess a willingness to work in teams and under guidance.
  • Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
