About the Role: 

We are seeking a Lead Consultant with strong expertise in Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of customer data and cross-channel journey orchestration solutions. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with a focus on translating business requirements into scalable solutions across data, audience, and campaign layers while ensuring effective governance and performance.

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Lead end-to-end solution design and implementation across AEP (RTCDP) and AJO
  • Define and manage XDM schemas, datasets, and identity resolution for unified customer profiles
  • Develop and activate audience strategies, including segmentation and audience qualification for targeted marketing campaigns 
  • Design, build, and execute customer journeys and campaigns in AJO
  • Configure and manage channels such as Email, SMS, and Push notifications
  • Implement and optimize offer decisioning and personalization use cases
  • Manage data ingestion (batch and streaming) ensuring data quality and consistency
  • Integrate AEP/AJO with external systems using APIs and SDKs
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, privacy, and consent frameworks
  • Perform testing of audiences, journeys, and campaigns prior to activation
  • Monitor campaign performance and derive actionable insights for optimization
  • Troubleshoot data, journey, and integration issues across the platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor junior team members
  • Design and build scalable ETL pipelines to unify customer data across diverse enterprise systems. 
  • Ensure high data quality through validation rules, monitoring frameworks, and continuous data governance practices. 
  • Serve as a platform expert with POC or implementation experience in AEP Real-Time CDP 
  • Strong understanding of AJO modules including but not limited to Campaigns & Journeys along with activities involved in it – Events, Audience, Orchestration activities, Content Fragments, Channel configurations

Must have Skills & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Adobe Experience Cloud or related digital marketing technologies 
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) 
  • Strong experience in XDM data modelling, Audience segmentation, Data ingestion (batch and streaming), Journey and campaign design in AJO 
  • Proven experience with AEP/AJO API integrations 
  • Solid understanding of RTCDP concepts 
  • Experience working with REST APIs, JSON, and system integrations 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Martech, Marketing Operations, Adobe Support) to understand the issues and support fixing problems.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AEP and related technologies.
  • Continuously learn and expand your knowledge of data management, data science, and customer experience. 


Good to Have

  • Adobe Experience Cloud tool certification (either Adobe RT-CDP, Adobe Journey Optimizer is a plus)
  • Experience with Adobe Target, Customer Journey Analytics, or Adobe Analytics
  • Exposure to Adobe Launch / Web SDK implementations
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience with agile methodologies and project management.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript or Python for automation use cases
  • Good to have knowledge and understanding to develop and implement custom solutions within the AEP environment using Adobe REST APIs and scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) and other relevant tools for any required automation use-cases
