Skills Required
- Deep experience with distributed data frameworks (Kafka, Flink, Spark); built, operated, and debugged systems processing billions of events per day.
- Strong background designing data architectures handling messy, heterogeneous data at scale, including schema evolution, data quality, idempotency, backfill/replay, and partial failure recovery.
- Proven track record of simplifying complex systems into testable, operable, and maintainable architectures.
- Demonstrated P70-equivalent scope: department-level technical leadership and cross-team influence tied to business outcomes.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and fluency in at least one modern language (Java preferred).
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex data architecture to engineers, product managers, and leadership.
