We are seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Pricing Analyst to support WorldWide Alliance (WWA) global ocean freight pricing operations across the WWA network. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of international freight forwarding, LCL shipping, and commercial pricing principles. This role requires the ability to interpret complex customer RFQs, analyse pricing requirements, coordinate with global stakeholders, and deliver accurate commercial solutions within agreed service levels.
The Senior Pricing Analyst will also act as a subject matter expert (SME), supporting junior team members while driving process improvements and maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
What You'll Do…
- Analyse and manage complex CFS-to-CFS Ocean Freight pricing requests and customer RFQs.
- Interpret customer-specific pricing instructions, commercial agreements, tariffs, and pricing guidelines.
- Apply freight tariffs, origin and destination charges, surcharges, routing conditions, and pricing validity accurately.
- Coordinate with WWA members and internal stakeholders across multiple countries to obtain competitive pricing within defined SLAs.
- Review pricing submissions for completeness, consistency, and commercial accuracy before finalization.
- Resolve pricing discrepancies by analysing customer requirements and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Handle complex pricing cases and provide guidance to junior Pricing Analysts.
- Maintain customer-specific pricing rules, documentation, and process knowledge.
- Monitor productivity, quality, turnaround time, and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Identify process improvement and automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
- Prepare reports and perform data analysis using Microsoft Excel and other business tools.
- Support training, knowledge sharing, and onboarding of new team members.
What You’ll Need…
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in Ocean Freight, Freight Forwarding, Shipping, Logistics, or Commercial Pricing.
- Strong understanding of LCL Ocean Freight (CFS-to-CFS) operations, trade lanes, tariffs, and freight pricing principles.
- Experience interpreting customer RFQs and commercial pricing requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, logical formulas, data validation, conditional formatting, charts, and basic data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and meeting strict deadlines.
- Experience working with pricing systems, freight management systems, or ERP applications is an advantage.
