Hearst Television (HTV) is hiring a Senior Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain the enterprise-grade analytics solutions that power our business intelligence. You will be instrumental in translating complex business requirements into scalable, high-performance reporting and semantic models within our modern data ecosystem. This role is central to our mission of providing prescriptive, actionable guidance to leadership through sophisticated data visualization and governed data modeling. What You’ll Do
· BI Solution Delivery: Architect and develop high-performance Power BI dashboards that balance executive-level "5,000-foot" strategic overviews with intuitive, granular drill-downs for operational deep-dives.
· Semantic Modeling: Build and maintain complex semantic models and develop sophisticated DAX measures to ensure a "Single Source of Truth" across all reporting layers.
· Data Logic & Querying: Build and maintain high-performance SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to support robust analytics and data integrity.
· Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner directly with business leaders to gather requirements and translate abstract business questions into high-integrity analytical solutions.
· Performance Optimization: Develop and maintain data models optimized for usability and speed, ensuring peak performance even when handling high-velocity enterprise datasets.
· Data Governance: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and rigorous governance across all reporting solutions, troubleshooting and resolving performance bottlenecks as they arise.
· Self-Service Enablement: Support and promote self-service BI best practices, empowering stakeholders to interact with data while maintaining architectural standards.
Requirements
· Experience: 6+ years in Business Intelligence, with at least 4+ years specifically dedicated to the Power BI ecosystem in an enterprise environment.
· Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, including advanced DAX, Power Query (M), and complex star-schema data modeling.
· SQL Expertise: Advanced SQL skills with a proven track record of writing and tuning complex queries across relational and large-scale data sources.
· BI Theory: Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (Medallion architecture, Kimball/Inmon) and modern BI best practices.
· Problem Solving: Proven analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies and hit high-accuracy parity targets (99.8%+).
· Communication: Exceptional ability to bridge the gap between technical architecture and non-technical stakeholders, leading architectural and solution design discussions.
· Certification: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) is strongly preferred.
