Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power
BI reports, Paginated reports, and dashboards based on business requirements.
- Gather, analyze, and translate
business needs into technical specifications and data models.
- Build efficient data models in Power
BI (star/snowflake schemas, relationships, calculated columns, and measures
using DAX).
- Use Power Query to extract,
transform, and load data from multiple sources (SQL databases, Excel, cloud
sources).
- Optimize report performance (query
folding, aggregations, incremental refresh, measures optimization).
- Implement and manage row‑level
security (RLS) and follow governance standards for data access and security.
- Ensure data quality, consistency,
and accuracy through validation, testing, and documentation.
- Collaborate with data engineers,
analysts, and business users to align BI solutions with business goals.
- Publish and manage content in Power
BI Service, including workspaces, apps, dataflows, and refresh schedules.
- Provide user training, support, and
best‑practice guidance to self‑service Power BI users.
- Stay current with new Power BI
features and recommend improvements to existing BI solutions.
- Create flows/schedules in Power
Automate and create interface through Power Apps to publish reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master's degree in
Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, or related
field (or equivalent experience).
- Hands‑on experience 6+ years
building reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
- Strong proficiency in DAX for
building calculated measures and advanced calculations.
- Solid experience with Power Query/M
and data transformation techniques.
- Good understanding of relational
databases, SQL querying, and data modeling concepts (facts, dimensions, star
schema).
- Experience connecting to and
integrating multiple data sources (on‑premises and cloud).
- Understanding of data governance,
security, and compliance concepts.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving,
and communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with
business stakeholders, gather requirements, and convert them into technical
designs.
Skills Required
