Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer – Network Automation

Impact & contribution:
As a Senior Platform Engineer - Network Automation Team, you will be focused on Network centric Automation and Systems, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing and implementing custom software driven automation solutions for integrating and managing network elements such as Firewalls, Switches and other Network Assets. You will collaborate closely with our Network Engineering and Security teams to create robust, scalable and secure automation tools that streamline our Network Assets data and processes, helping to enhance our network security posture. To achieve this, your role will require you to:
Roles & responsibilities:
You will be expected to perform the following tasks and responsibilities in a manner consistent with CBA’s Values and People Capabilities.

Collaboratively work with customer facing product engineers to design, build and run platforms that they can use to deliver customer value at greater quality, velocity, and safety.

Write software and tooling that automates the operations of our platforms, infrastructure, environments, and tooling.

Maintain the underlying infrastructure to ensure the that it is reliable, secure and scalable.

Ensure that our platforms are loved by our software engineers, and continually evolve our platforms to embrace new technology and improve the happiness and efficiency of our software engineers.

Write software to ensure that all deployment and operations is as automated as possible, using languages such as python and go, and automate implementation of controls into our platforms.

Participate in cross-group activities to build a culture of one team, bar-raising both our engineering capability and our technology solutions to drive our strategy.

You are an experienced Software Engineer, whose career has been focused on automation, network security and DevSecOps practices. A summary of highly regarded skills for success in this role include:

10+ years of experience in network engineering and 2+ years working in a DevOps environment.

React.js: Components, props, state, lifecycle methods, hooks (useState, useEffect), Context API, JSX syntax

JavaScript & ES6+: Proficiency in modern features (arrow functions, destructuring, promises, async/await), DOM manipulation, event handling

Education Qualifications:
