The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, build, and scale our innovative applications and technologies as part of our DevSecOps team. This role will be responsible for enabling a multidisciplinary engineering team to meet the requirements of a mission critical cloud-based force protection system with a Digital Twin environment. The chosen engineer will work closely with RF hardware engineers, system designers, and other stakeholders to deliver a high-performance, reliable RF system and Digital Twin. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated technical leader who thrives in agile environments and adapts quickly to emerging technologies and requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support services using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or similar technology.
- Build, optimize, and maintain production-grade CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab or Jenkins).
- Build and maintain automation using scripts and other tools.
- Configure and tune groups , application gateways, and other protective cloud controls.
- Manage compute, storage, networking, and database services across cloud environments while ensuring adherence to security and compliance frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with other engineers and subject matter experts to integrate testing into pipelines.
- Establish and enforce security best practices for system implementations and data privacy.
- Provisioning Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes environments across multiple security domains in Cloud, data center, and edge environments.
- Conduct trade studies to select appropriate open-source, commercial or existing government solutions/technologies to balance security, supportability, performance, cost, user experience, and time to operations.
- Collaborate with other teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them.
- Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions.
Qualifications:
Required:
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligability
- BS/BA + 5 years or equivalency
- 5+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure engineering
- Extensive hands-on engineering experience in one or more of OpenShift, AWS, GCP or Rancher
- Expert Terraform skills or similar; proven experience managing infrastructure with infrastructure as code
- Experience operating production Kubernetes clusters (OpenShift/Rancher) supporting processing workloads
- Experience with containers (Docker, Podman) and CI/CD (Gitlab or Jenkins pipelines)
- Scripting/programming abilities
- Experience with GitOps (ArgoCD)

- Linux/Red Hat knowledge
- Experience with Digital Twin systems
- Elastic Stack (Elastic, Logstash, Kibana) or similar
- Experience with continuous monitoring and automated security tools
- Strong communication skills for presenting to senior leadership

The proposed salary range for this position is:
